PROJECTS

Project Details:

  • 1 MMTPA Land based LNG Storage, Regasification and Distribution terminal at Haldia Dock Complex, India
  • Project Scope – Setting up 60,000-m3-storage tank, 4 truck loading bays (with space for an additional 4 bays), captive pipelines for customers in 5 km radius. (In future the terminal can connect to National Gas Grid when it gets developed)
  • 11.5 acres of land secured for setting up the terminal inside Haldia Dock Complex
  • Design Engineering and Risk Assessment Studies completed
  • Construction to start by October 2020 with targeted project commissioning by end of 2022
Key advantages of Haldia LNG terminal in terms of access to market are –
  • Most competitive Gas supply source to bulk demand at Haldia.
  • Most competitive LNG supply source by trucks over road to Industries/CGD in the catchment area up-to 750 km from Haldia.
  • Opportunity to connect to the National Gas Grid when the pipeline connectivity reaches to Haldia, by laying just a 12 km pipeline from our terminal to Haldia tap-off point of Gail Pipeline network, and thus access to entire gas market of India.

ABOUT US

VLNG is developing an integrated sustainable mid scale to small scale LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) market in India and South East Asia by establishing multiple hubs with a targeted gas demand in the range of 0.5 – 3.5 mmtpa, distributed through small captive pipeline and tankers over road and inland waterways. The targeted demand is from the displacement of more expensive liquid fuels such as Fuel Oil, Naphtha and Diesel in Industries, Power Generation, Refineries, Petrochemical complexes and Transportation.

Mission Statement:

Support a Green and Clean Asian Continent by facilitating a transition to a clean fuel economy by creating effective, integrated and optimized sustainable supply chain for reaching Gas to sectors and regions with no access to competitive gas.

Vision Statement:

Beginning with the downstream sector, demand of 10 MMTPA of LNG to be captured through 4-5 small to mid scale LNG Import and distribution hubs with storage capacity of 30,000- 160,000 m³ each in the next five years. LNG to be distributed to the end consumer in cryogenic containers through trucks, railways and inland waterway barges and re-gasified gas to customers in close vicinity.
